Winter storm due overnight

Winter storm to dump rain, snow in Arizona

Bust out those winter clothes again, Arizona.

A winter storm is expected to hit Saturday and Sunday, dumping rain and snow throughout the state.

The Tucson and Phoenix areas are expected to get plenty of rain.

The Pacific storm already has dumped as much as 4 inches of rain in parts of California and could drop 2 feet of snow in mountainous areas there.

Weather officials say up to a foot of snow will fall along the Mogollon Rim, the White Mountains in eastern Arizona and the Kaibab plateau

Snow could fall at elevations as low as 5,000 feet.

The storm is expected to move out of Arizona on Sunday morning.
